Position

The Marketing Coordinator (MC) owns the responsibility for supporting and activating all marketing programs that drive sales/trafficking and NOI growth for the center. The MC also plays a key role in development of the center marketing plan, marketing expense budget tracking and assumes the lead role to activate the local implementation of marketing platforms and any center consumer and/or retailer specific marketing programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports digital and social networking business concepts. Position is responsible for updating center digital content assuring accuracy and value to the customer.
  • Consumer information management data entry and execute in-mall registrations.
  • Assist with event set-up, including coordination with contracted special events company, if applicable.
  • Ensures center retailer listing materials and marketing promotional materials are accurate, updated and inventory levels are maintained.
  • Assists with any public relations and advertising materials for the center as assigned.
  • Serves as the front-line contact for customer complaints or concerns and works through resolution of same.
  • Ensures Marketing expenses are accurately tracked, processed and paid within budget guidelines.
  • Works on special projects and other duties as requested by superiors including possible participation in the MOD (Manager on Duty) program.

Common Area

  • The MC is responsible for ensuring that all brand standards are followed in communications, visuals and marketing program materials throughout the shopping center.
  • Coordinate with external back lit directory company (for example: Smartlite, Clear Channel) for postings and quarterly directory updates.
  • Strives to improve and build upon overall customer services and amenities.

Retail and Management

  • Solicits and encourages retailer participation/support as an effort to promote their business and add value to overall center marketing plans.
  • Works with the GM to create effective marketing initiatives and tools that support our retailer partners achieve their sales goals.

Financial Management

  • Maintains accurate budgets, prepares monthly forecasts and processes and codes all invoices to corresponding accounts to designed projects as per budget guidelines.

Experience and Skills:

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years marketing and/or related experience required.
  • Strong organizational ability while effectively managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Must be a strategic and analytical thinker.
  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills along with problem solving and time management ability.
  • Must possess the ability to manage budgets and have solid accounting skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and be Internet and Social Media savvy.
  • Must be flexible and able to work events and possible MOD shifts which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
