We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, creative, motivated Leasing Representative to join Taste Space, a restaurant focused division of Rouse. The focus of Taste Space is to improve the overall quality of dining options within the Rouse portolio through partnerships with best in class local/regional/national restaurant groups with the common goal of enhancing the consumer shopping experience.

The position will focus on select martkets, assets and opportunities across the Rouse portfolio. Within those asset responsibilities the position will be required to be emersed within the restaurant scene within each of those markets, creating relationships with the restaurantaur and brokerage community to source opportunities. We are looking for a productive person who is passionate about food and beverage and has a strong desire to disrupt the the 'norm' with how restaurant activity has been approached within the shopping center space historically.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prospecting/Canvasing - Researches, identifies and understands restaurant trends; Targets prospective local, regional and national tenants/brokers; Mandatory cold calling and follow up.

  • Dealmaking - Negotiate leases and coordinates efforts with Development, Legal, Tenant Coordination and Executive Managment from lease sumittal to opening.

  • Deal Preperation - Prepare lease request packages for approval. Requires ongoing communication with legal, tenant coordination, development, mall management, etc.

  • Relationship Management - Manage local, regional and national tenant/brokerage relationships for both the new and renewals deals as assigned.

  • Travel - The ability to travels domestically upon notice and up to 3 weeks a month for site tours and relationship management.

  • Goals Requirements - Achieve goals set by Senior Management.



Experience and Skills:



  • 5-10 years of retail shopping center landlord or broker experience

  • Restaurant experience required

  • Experience in Los Angeles market; based in Los Angeles
  • Understanding of shopping center merchandising and leasing

  • Strong communication, presentation sales and time management skills

  • Moderate levels of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills

  • Moderate levels of Social Media skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Travel required up to 50%
